Black lava field.
Pine forest single-track.
A Kintamani volcano dirt bike tour across open black-lava fields with no speed limit, sandy pine-forest single-track and climbs toward Mt Batur. Half day or full day, private group, beginner to expert — we match the bike and pace to you.
Where you'll ride.
Mt Batur is an active stratovolcano. The black-lava field is from the 1963 eruption — fast, hard-packed, with a thin layer of volcanic sand on top. The pine forest above was planted in the 1970s to stabilise the slopes.
Active stratovolcano · two craters · last eruption 2000.
Full-day ridge climb tops out here · 360° panoramic view to Lake Batur + Mt Agung.
From the 1963 eruption · fast, open, no speed limit · prime riding for warm-up + pace.
Beginner to advanced.
One ride, every level. The black lava starts gentle and open; the pine-forest single-track steps up when you're ready. We read your level on a short call and shape the day around it.
The guide matches the pace and route to your level.
Pick your bike.
Ride any bike in the fleet — the choice is yours. From the KLX to the KTM 300 EXC, KTM 350, YZ 250 or Ducati 450, we pair you to the right machine on a brief call.

Half day or full day.
Same locations. More riding.
Both options ride the same locations — black lava field, pine-forest single-track. The full day just gives you more time on the bike, more kilometres, and more track variations we can string together in those same locations. Your guide sets the pace + breaks to match the group on the day.

The honest FAQ.
The questions everyone asks us on WhatsApp. Answered here once.
I've never ridden off-road. Can I still book?+
Yes. We run all levels from total beginners to expert. Start on the KLX 150 or 230 (entry tier) — your guide keeps the pace gentle on the lava field for the first hour while you find your balance.
What if it rains?+
Light rain — we still ride (the pine forest stays grippy). Heavy rain or storm — we reschedule, no fee. Bali rain is usually short and patchy; we move the schedule by an hour if needed.
What do I bring vs what's provided?+
You bring:closed shoes or boots, long sleeves & trousers, sunglasses, sunscreen, change of clothes for the return. We provide: helmet, goggles, gloves, knee + elbow guards, bike, fuel, water, lunch, jersey to keep.
Can I bring my own gear?+
Absolutely. Many riders bring their own helmet + boots they trust. Send a photo of your kit to us on WhatsApp before the ride if you want us to check fit + safety.
I wear glasses / contact lenses — is that fine?+
Contacts are fine and recommended (less dust ingress under goggles). Glasses fit under most of our goggles but let us know your frame size — we'll pre-fit you with the right pair.
What's the cancellation policy?+
Flexible — there's no payment to start a conversation, and you only commit once your slot and bike are confirmed. For the exact deposit and cancellation terms, message us on WhatsApp — we'll confirm the current policy before you book.
How many riders per group?+
We keep groups small and level-matched, and we add guides to fit your group — Pak Putu sets the number for each trip so nobody waits and nobody is left behind. There are always at least two guides (a lead and a sweeper). Smaller groups get the lead guide more personally; larger crews ride with extra guides. Exact group sizes vary by tour — ask on WhatsApp.
Insurance — what's covered?+
We'll confirm exactly what cover applies to your booking when you message us. Either way, we strongly recommend you carry your own travel/medical insurance that covers off-road motorcycling — your home travel insurance often covers it, but check before flying.
I'm coming alone — can I ride solo?+
Yes. Solo riders get a private guide. The rate stays the same — no single-rider surcharge.
Can I just ride, no photos / video?+
Of course. Tell us at gear-up. The photo/video on your phone is included whether you use it or not. GoPro rental (Rp 300.000/trip) + a 64GB SD card (Rp 250.000) are available if you want your own footage.
