Before you ride

The honest FAQ.

The questions riders ask us most — booking, gear, levels, safety and pickup. Anything not here? Ask us on WhatsApp — we reply personally.

  • How do I book a tour?

Booking is over WhatsApp — there's no online checkout yet. Message us, tell us your level, dates and how many riders, and we sort the bike, gear, pickup and route with you. There's no payment to start a conversation; you only commit once the slot and bike are confirmed.

  • What's included in the price?

Every booking includes: hotel/airport pickup and drop-off in an AC car, all riding gear (jersey, pants, socks, motocross boots, goggles, helmet, gloves, chest/knee/elbow pads, and the hydration backpack you ride with — you arrive empty-handed, and every piece is washed and clean, laundered after every ride), a welcome drink and water, food and drinks (lunch on day trips), at least two professional guides (lead + sweeper), bike insurance covering mechanical breakdowns and damage on your booking, ride photos and clips filmed by your guide on a phone, a free BaliEnduro jersey to keep, and the bike with unlimited petrol. Multi-day trips also include accommodation and all meals.

  • What's NOT included?

International flights, visa fees, your personal travel/medical insurance, alcoholic drinks, personal medical or first-aid items, and tips for guides (optional, but appreciated).

  • Do I need a licence or experience for a Bali dirt bike tour?

No prior off-road experience is needed for the beginner routes — many riders do their first-ever off-road day with us, and the guide keeps the pace to your level. Harder routes (advanced / hard-enduro lines) do expect real off-road riding ability. For licence and any local-permit requirements, message us with your situation and we'll advise.

  • What riding levels do you cater for?

All of them. Tabanan Jungle & Beach is the beginner-friendly route (first time off-road is fine). Kintamani Black Lava is the intermediate classic. The secret-forest hard lines are for advanced / race / hard-enduro riders. Not sure where you sit? Tell us on WhatsApp and we place you on the right route and bike.

  • What should I bring?

Nothing for the ride itself — helmet, goggles, boots, gloves, jersey, pants, socks, and full body armor are all included. You show up, we kit you out. For the day, bring: • Your phone — if you'd like, ask your guides and they'll grab photos and video of you on it. • A little cash for incidentals. • Spare or sports underwear — sports underwear keeps you comfortable under the gear, or just bring a fresh set to change into after the ride. • Sunscreen — the Bali sun is no joke; put it on any exposed skin. • Any personal medication you might need on the trail. One more: eat a solid breakfast before pickup — enduro is physical.

  • Do you film the ride? Will I get photos and video?

Your guide grabs photos and clips on their phone when the trail allows — we'll share them after the ride, but they're phone-shot, not pro footage, and we can't always guarantee them (the trail and the riding come first). Want to be sure you get footage? Bring your own phone or a GoPro and your guide will happily film you — and GoPro + SD-card rental is available if you'd rather not risk your own.

  • Where do you pick up from?

Door-to-door hotel pickup and drop-off is included from anywhere in Bali. Send us your hotel and location on WhatsApp and we'll confirm the transfer details.

  • What languages do the guides speak?

Our guides speak English and Indonesian, full-time on the trail.

  • Is it safe? What about insurance?

Safety is the priority: full protective gear is provided and fitted, there's a safety briefing before you ride, and there are always at least two guides (a lead and a sweeper) so no one rides alone. Bike insurance — covering mechanical breakdown and damage on your booking — is included. We strongly recommend you also carry your own travel/medical insurance that covers off-road motorcycling.

  • How big are the groups?

Rides are run in small, level-matched groups with a lead guide and a sweeper. Solo riders are welcome and get a private guide. For exact group sizes and any private-group options, ask us on WhatsApp — we tailor it to your crew.

  • Can I ride all year round?

Yes — Bali rides year-round. In the wet season trails can be muddier and more technical (some riders love that); in light rain we usually still ride, and for heavy rain or storms we adjust the schedule. We'll give you an honest read on conditions for your dates.

  • What's the cancellation and deposit policy?

There's no payment to start a conversation, and you only commit once your slot and bike are confirmed. For exact deposit and cancellation terms, message us — we'll confirm the current policy before you book.

  • How much does a Bali dirt bike tour or rental cost?

Prices are per bike, per ride — the same bike costs the same whatever your group size, with no solo surcharge. Half-day, full-day and multi-day rates for every bike (KLX, Yamaha, KTM and Ducati) are listed in full on our Pricing page, in IDR with a live USD/EUR conversion. Groups of 3+ get a quote on WhatsApp.

  • Is a Bali dirt bike tour OK for beginners?

Yes — most of our riders are beginners, and many do their first-ever off-road day with us. The Tabanan Jungle & Beach route is the beginner-friendly tour: you start on a light, forgiving KLX 150 or 230 and your guide keeps the pace gentle while you find your balance. No prior off-road experience needed on the entry routes.

  • What's the difference between a dirt bike, enduro and motocross tour?

They overlap. "Dirt bike" is the everyday name for any off-road motorcycle — what we ride on every tour. "Enduro" means long-distance off-road riding over varied natural terrain (jungle, volcano, trails) — that's exactly what our tours are. "Motocross" usually means short laps on a built track with jumps; we ride a few motocross-style sections on the way to the coast, but our days are enduro tours on real Bali terrain, not track laps. Whatever you call it, you're on a proper off-road bike with a guide matched to your level.

  • What's the best time of year for a Bali dirt bike tour?

We ride year-round. The dry season (roughly April–October) gives firmer, dustier trails; the wet season turns the jungle into a muddier, more technical challenge that a lot of riders love. In light rain we usually still ride; for heavy rain or storms we adjust the schedule. We'll give you an honest read on conditions for your dates.
